This is my Now page. It’s a place where you can find out what I’m currently focused on throughout the year. My goal is to update it several times annually. While I have seen similar pages on some blogs, I was originally inspired to create mine by Carl Alexander.
Ai deep dive
With more available tools at our disposal I am experimenting more and integrating good practices in my day to day workflow, but still making sure that my skilst that I built for years don’t fade away.
Contributing to WordPress
Recently I started doing theme trac tickets reviews, currently 1 theme a week probably since I am too detailed about it, but in fact I am too detailed with everything I do when it comes to code. I always beleved that reading others code is benefical in multiple ways and now when code is being generated very easily it is important more than ever.
Also I am preparing theme for my blog for WordPress themes repository, it is ready but there is always something new that I want to add or enhence. 🤓
Blogging
Since I’ve finally revamped and moved my old blog originally diwebdeveloper.com to the one you are on now, I am excited to start writing again. I plan to blog about WordPress and share my thoughts on various topics, focusing mainly on web development. My goal is to share knowledge; I’m a firm believer that the best way to learn more is to teach others.
Developers struggling
After years of IT layoffs, the rise of AI, and global crises, is it still worth earning a living as a developer? Unfortunately, I could probably make just as much delivering food for Wolt or painting walls. 🙄 Still, the sound of my mechanical keyboard is music to my ears, and my office chair is far more comfortable, but the question remains in 2026.
